We also provide space for classes and meetings as well as sell gifts, used books,
new books, gem stones and crystals.

The Artist's Way

The most interesting trip you will ever take is the journey within. Whether you have a
specific goal in mind or just want to explore what's possible, this transformational class
is for you! Using Julia Cameron's groundbreaking book, "The Artist's Way" , as a basic text
and expressive arts activities such as image-making, writing, movement, visualization and role
play, you'll open to your creative, intuitive side in this safe, supportive group. The activities
are fun and insightful and are designed to help you gain self-knowledge, increase your confidence,
overcome your blocks and transform your relationship with your inner critic. This class is perfect
for people in a life transition or for those who just want to explore what's next.
Please note: This is not an art class, and you do not have to have a specific goal in mind to
benefit greatly from the course. No artistic or writing ability is required, just an open mind

Metaphysics and Its Practical Applications

This will be a Spanish introductory class to learn why it
is that most persons do not live a fuller, more complete
life. Discover the powerful hidden secrets of your
subconscious self, beyond the physical "reality" imposed
on you from childhood. Learn to master your
mind and take control of your life by thinking "out of
the box" and unrestrained by programmed limitations,
restrictions and constraints. All you’ll need is you, a
pen and writing tablet.

prácticas. Aprenda por qué es que la mayoría de las personas

Prepare for the Ascension

Opening our hearts to prepare for Ascension
2012! This is the Year. No need to
fear. We are about to move into a dimension
of Love, Light and Unity! As we are
vibrational beings, our passage requires that
we increase our frequency...but...how do we
do this? We enter a cycle where we need to
think, feel, and act differently. We need to
open our hearts, leave judgments behind and connect to
our TRUE selves. In this class, Izabelle Joie Doucet, Minister
and Metaphysical teacher will facilitate this process
and help you deepen the connection with the Divine in
you, using different tools such as the "I am practice",
meditation, chakra clearing, affirmations, energy clearing.
Before you say YES or NO to this journey, go within and
ask yourself: Is this for ME? Follow your heart.

Volunteer Needed

Event Coordinator for class scheduling, communicating
with instructors, working with our newsletter
editor, etc. On site or some work can be done
from home. Must be people-oriented and have basic
computer skills as well as be available for calls.
Marketing skills a plus. Will train. This is an exciting position
meeting and working with interesting people and helping the Philosophical
Library grow and expand!

Volunteers Needed
|
|
We have many other volunteer positions available in: marketing, grant writing,
volunteer coordinating, library operations, book filing, graphic arts, IT, business
administration, assistant Librarian, teaching a class, etc. Do you know of anyone
looking to help make the world a better place by increasing the consciousness of others,
why not start at the Philosophical Library?
Currently, we have an immediate need for a volunteer to work one of our daily shifts
in the store from 1 to 5 PM on a weekly basis. This would be perfect for someone who
is retired or has free time on their hands. Duties include: working the cash register,
checking out books, book returns, answering questions, enrolling new members and greeting
those that come in. No experience is necessary.

Counseling Available at Library

Waddy Wells, M.A., LMFT , is offering professional counseling at the Library. For over twelve years, Waddy has
worked with troubled youth and their families. He is also skilled and certified in Spiritual Counseling. This
service is offered to the Library community on a donation basis and only by appointment by calling the Library at (760) 745-2724.
